Cleaner Approximately 32 hours a month. This is a Part Time vacancy initially working four hours on Monday 10am till 2pm and four hours on Friday 10am till 2pm. You may be required for additional cleaning duties at quite short notice from time to time so some flexibility will be expected from you. Your job is very important as we are a premises based business and quality cleaning is a key essential in our customer service plan.
Job Purpose To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the building and external areas, to include the general cleaning of offices, sanitary, public and studio areas. You will be required to adopt a flexible approach regarding working in all areas of Music Room London and to meet the needs of Music Room London.
Person Specification The post holder will need to be able to lift and carry items of equipment and rubbish bags and be able to undertake a wide range of high quality cleaning. Our studio building in New Cross Gate is quite large with over 5,000sq ft. of floor to keep clean so the work will be quite physically demanding.
The post holder will have a friendly personality and be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. They must be prepared to demonstrate good timekeeping, attendance and maintain a smart appearance.
Staff are required to wear corporate clothing at all times whilst on duty which will be provided.
Starting rates of pay:
Starting at £8 per hour with potential progression once in post to £10 an hour.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable. Previous applicants need not apply.

The job involves some lifting and setting up of equipment, so practical skills and physical fitness is essential, as is a good telephone manner computer skills and a friendly outgoing personality. Training will be provided. You must be prepared to demonstrate good timekeeping, attendance and maintain a smart appearance. Staff are required to wear corporate clothing at all times whilst on duty which will be provided.
Usual hours are 5.30pm to 12am Monday to Friday and 9.30am till 7pm Saturday & Sunday on a rolling rota shared with others, plus other hours by arrangement.
Starting rates of pay:
18-20 - £4.98 per hour
Over 21 - £6.08 per hour
