About the event
Everett is a band we started in 2023, initially as a vehicle for the songwriting of our guitarist Harrison Dolphin (who, by the way, is me, writing this). It has developed into a very special collaborative project that depends on the artistic voices and cooking ability of each of its members, creating a sound & expression from our belief in the music and each other.
This music is in kind of a post-rock, anti-jazz, emotionally driven and fragile corner (yeah, yeah), but it's really about honesty and conveying something that can connect to the listener in many different ways.
It's really exciting to release some music with this group for the first time - It's taken many different recording efforts to capture this music in its raw, delicate form, and through the help of our friend Vincent (patient recording engineer/ship captain) we made these recordings live, together in the room, warts encouraged.
One of the first bands I saw once Everett was starting to take shape was Once A Fig, a string & voice trio comprised of Rebecka Edlund, Cori Rose Smith and Phoebe Harty, and I immediately fell in love with their music and knew they'd be the perfect pairing with Everett's music.
