HELEN MCDONALDS FUTURE GROOVE

FREE ENTRY - STARTS 8PM

Future Groove is an exciting jazz soul latin funk quartet headed by the rare and inspiring vocal talent of Helen McDonald.

The band plays standards, rare groove renditions and crafted original compositions.

The chances are you will have been wowed by Helen either performing at top events such as The Ealing or Brecon Jazz Festivals, Womad, The London Jazz Festival, London African Music Festival, Liverpool International Music Festival, The Spice of Life, or touring internationally with flautist Keith Waite or Yaaba Funk. She has played with many supreme artists such as the late great Gill Scott-Heron, Roy Ayers, Jean Toussaint, Jason Yarde, Robert Mitchell and Omar Puento.

Leslee Booth - Bass. A first call bassist who has performed internationally and toured with Gloria Gaynor, Billy Eckstine and Freda Payne. Currently gigs with Vlad Miller Quartet and Paul Gunn Band.

Paul Zimmerman has gigged international with Anthony Joseph Spasm band, Yaaba Funk. He always is a member of Little Number.

Yul Emirali - keys/piano. Yul has had many long running piano residencies in the West End and London. He has played at the London Jazz Festival and has produced two albums available on Bandcamp. "Freaky and bewildering mix of modern jazz drawing on freeform and funk sources." John Lewis (Timeout London)
